Project Her Earth and Enterprise Resources and Action (HEERA) is a social initiative that aims to remove barriers to entrepreneurial resources and training for women from underserved communities in India who are small business owners. Our original guide, the HEERA Business Training Program, is a clear, practical, and accessible tool that covers essential business planning, such as understanding finances, management, and how to scale strategies. Further, we are developing the HEERA podcast to spread awareness on microfinancing, women-led enterprises, green finance and women in the Global South. With aspirational benchmarks and a roadmap on building sustainable business for women from underserved communities, our podcast aims to be a friendly resource to be accessed at the convenience of our listeners. Ultimately, we aim to launch the HEERA Grants Program to provide seed funding for women to operate small-scale sustainable businesses. Our financial capital contributions will be fundraised.Â
Giving workshops that provide education and training to aspiring women entrepreneurs at our partner NGOs, we will ultimately facilitate an Intra-NGO competition to award work done by local NGOs to empower women entrepreneurs through the HEERA 2026 Award.
